SRINAGAR, Jan 24: On Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Branch announced that it had detained a sub district hospital Sopore employee for allegedly asking and taking a bribe in exchange for issuing a birth certificate. According to an official, Farooq Ahmad Misger offered a bribe of Rs. 3,600, and the ACB accepted it, leading to the arrest of Mehraj U Din Wani. According to him, Misger went to Wani to obtain a birth certificate for his daughter, and Wani, abusing his position, demanded a bribe. The official stated that more inquiry into the matter has been started.
