NEW DELHI: General Manoj Pande, the Chief of Army Staff, stated on Monday that the government and the Indian Army had been successful in keeping the situation under control in the state of Manipur as a result of their ongoing efforts. Speaking to the public on 76th Army Day, General Manoj Pande stated that the Northeast has seen positive development as a result of peace negotiations with regional militant groups. In recent years, significant peace agreements and peace negotiations have taken place with regional insurgent groups in the Northeast. because of which this field has seen encouraging development. The restoration of peace has been significantly aided by government policies.The Indian Army’s and the government’s proactive actions are helping to successfully control the situation in Manipur. Through their skill and patience, our soldiers have made a significant contribution to lessening the harm in this delicate environment,” he stated. “Concrete efforts are going on towards establishing peace in Manipur,” he stated. He added, “We have control over the situation in Jammu and Kashmir on the western borders.” However, numerous places have reported an uptick in terrorist activity in the past few months. “Strengthening the contemporary infrastructure with other agencies’ assistance is our top objective. Our army is capable of handling any situation and is well-prepared. With extreme caution, our army has thwarted the infiltration efforts. There has been a notable decline in violence as a result of the security forces’ ongoing efforts in the Jammu and Kashmir regions. We are resolutely striving to eradicate terrorism from the nation, in collaboration with all relevant parties,” he declared. General Manoj Pande claimed that today our country is on the edge of a new era, adding, “We all have set a vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ as our country completes 100 years of independence for which a secure environment is essential and Indian Army plays a vital role in achieving it. “Automation, digitization, and networking have advanced to improve the efficiency of our systems and operations. We have benefited more from this in areas like human resource management, decision support systems, management information systems, and operational situational awareness.
