SRINAGAR, Dec 19: A senior CRPF officer stated here on Tuesday that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the youth, should be commended for the decrease in violence in the valley caused by militancy. “The people, especially the youth, have shown tremendous support.” Without your help, it could not have happened. In the fields, whether it be in football, cricket, or other sports, the voice of the new Kashmir can be heard.When asked who should be given credit for the decline in militancy in the valley, Inspector General of the CRPF, Srinagar sector, Ajay Yadav responded, “So, the major contribution has been of the youth of Kashmir, the people of Kashmir.”He was addressing reporters outside the launch of a football competition in Srinagar that was sponsored by the CRPF. “I firmly believe that the people will come together and make the upcoming year even better than it is now,” Yadav continued. The tournament is being played by up to 16 teams from central Kashmir, four of which are from Downtown Srinagar. “This is the new Kashmir, and the youth will advance.” I hope a lot of young players from this tournament will eventually represent India. He added that sports are a major factor in preventing young people from using drugs. According to Yadav, the tournament was planned with young people in mind.Engaging the youth, giving them a way to live better lives, and giving them a chance to compete at the national level are the goals. He expressed confidence that the tournament will produce a large number of talented players. We have pledged that the CRPF will maintain youth involvement. He continued, “These competitions are a component of the civic action programme.” When asked if the paramilitary force was prepared to guard the J&K elections, the Inspector General responded that the CRPF was prepared for any duty. He declared that the competition would take place every year.
