SRINAGAR: In Kashmir, the nighttime temperature has decreased even more as several locations saw temperatures below freezing. Pahalgam had the lowest temperature, according to local meteorological department officials, at minus 3.4 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the temperature dropped below freezing in a number of locations, including Qazigund, Kupwara, and Gulmarg. Kokernag reported a low of 0.8 degree Celsius, while Kupwara recorded – 2.5 degree Celsius. Qazigund in South Kashmir reported a low of minus 0.4 degree Celsius, while Gulmarg, a well-known ski resort, was the second coldest at minus 3.0 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is 0.7 degrees Celsius. The weatherman predicts that the overcast and dry conditions will last until December 10.
