JAMMU, Dec 1: The J&K Pandurang K Pole Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) made the announcement and gave Suresh Raina the letter designating him as the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth voter awareness ambassador. Speaking at the event, the CEO stated that Suresh Raina, a national hero in India and a cricket great, has a lot of influence, especially with young people. He continued, “This influence can be used to motivate more people to engage in the political process, which will increase voter turnout and foster greater civic engagement.”Speaking outside the event, Suresh Raina expressed his hope that more and more people will attend national and international levels in the future. He said that many J&K players are now performing well at both the national and international levels. Later, in an effort to help elect their candidates, he further urged the young of J&K to come forward and register as voters before December 9, 2023. He continued by saying that a robust democracy requires a high turnout of voters. Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, the Commissioner for Relief and Rehabilitation, was also present for the event.
