Five foreign terrorists infiltrating in Kupwara through LoC Indian security forces neutralize

KUPWARA: 5 foreign terrorists of the JK Ghaznavi Force (JKGF), who were attempting to cross into Indian territory in the Jumagund area near the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K, were neutralised by the Joint Security Forces early on Friday. Late on Thursday night, in the Jumagund region of the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir,terrorists who had prior guerilla combat expertise in the Afghanistan-Pakistan theatre attempted to enter Indian territory. Sources said that an operation was carefully planned and tactically designed with the Army on the potential infiltration route in the Jumagund area based on specific intelligence generated by Kupwara Police about the likely infiltration of the group of five terrorists, and the ambush was laid accordingly.The gang belonged to the JK Ghaznavi Force (JKGF), which includes Rafiq Nai and Shamsher Nai, both of whom are Poonch district inhabitants in Jammu and Kashmir presently residing in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) as handlers, with Murtaza Pathan alias Ghaznvi, an Afgan veteran associated with the Deoband school of thought, serving as operational commander overseeing tactical aspect from POJK. Pathan is a resident of Faisalabad in Pakistan.
