AMRITSAR: 360 grammes of heroin hidden in a bottle was found in Amritsar‘s Daoke village, thwarting the smugglers’ cunning plans to smuggle illegal drugs once more, according to a press statement from the Border Security Force (BSF), which is stationed at the border. “On October 26, during the morning hours, based on specific information regarding the presence of contraband items, a search operation was launched by the BSF on the outskirts of Village Daoke, District Amritsar,” according to a news release issued by the BSF. Additionally, one little bottle with suspected contraband item Heroin (gross weight: approximately 360 grammes) wrapped in yellow adhesive tape was found by troops during a thorough search that began at around 07:40 am, according to the announcement.In the meantime, the Border Security Force (BSF) discovered a Chinese-made drone on Wednesday close to the Punjabi district of Amritsar and the Pakistani border. During a search effort, the quadcopter drone (model: DJI Mavic 3 Classic) was found in a paddy field in the Amritsar village of Dhanoe Khurd. “On October 25, during afternoon hours, on specific information regarding the presence of a drone, a search operation was launched by the BSF on the outskirts of Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar district,” according to the BSF. The 3,323-kilometer border between India and Pakistan is to be guarded by the BSF. About three o’clock in the afternoon, during the search, a drone was found in a paddy field close to the village of Dhanoe Khurd.With the recent recovery, the BSF reported that its officers stopped traffickers from attempting to smuggle drugs using drones.
