Jammu, May 19: The administration on Monday carried out a major anti-encroachment drive at Bandi near the Maha Maya Temple to clear alleged illegal occupations from government land.
Officials said the operation was conducted jointly by the revenue department, forest authorities and police personnel to ensure smooth and peaceful execution of the drive.
During the campaign, several structures and encroachments reportedly raised unlawfully on public land were removed by the authorities.
The officials reiterated that such drives will continue in order to safeguard government property and prevent illegal encroachments in the area.
