SSP Mukund Tibrewal Reviews Security of Key Installations in Reasi District

REASI: Senior Superintendent of Police, Mukund Tibrewal, conducted a comprehensive security review of vital installations across Reasi, including Kouri Bakal Bridge, Railway Station Dugga, and Sawalakote.

He was accompanied by Additional SP Iftekhar Ahmed and SDPO Arnas Updesh Kumar during the visit.

At Kouri Bakal Bridge over the Chenab River, the SSP interacted with personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and SPP Kouri. He emphasized the need for strong inter-agency coordination to ensure effective joint area domination of nearby villages and forest belts, along with strict access control and deployment of modern surveillance systems.

At Railway Station Dugga and Sawalakote, the SSP met personnel from SPP Sawalakote, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and members of the Village Defence Guards (VDGs). He directed that all area domination exercises be documented daily and stressed regular engagement, including training and firing practice, for VDG members.

The SSP also inspected Police Post Dhansal and Police Station Arnas, where he issued directions to improve record maintenance and ensure cleanliness of premises. Investigating Officers were instructed to expedite inquests, trace missing persons, and apprehend absconders to reduce case pendency.

Concluding the visit, Mukund Tibrewal reiterated that the security of vital installations, including religious sites, remains the top priority in the district, warning that no laxity will be tolerated in ensuring safety and security.
