JAMMU: Devender Singh Rana, a senior member of the BJP, today praised the nearly unanimous passage of the Women Reservation Bill in both Houses of Parliament and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the bold initiative to bring about what was otherwise just a political slogan. Devender Rana, along with BJP State Secretary Smt. Veenu Khanna, announced during a weekly public hearing at the BJP headquarters that Nari Shakti will receive new wings on the new Parliament House’s inaugural day, which falls on Ganesh Chathurthi. He asserted that the Prime Minister’s unwavering and unselfish leadership, which always stood for the interests of the country, was demonstrated by the passion with which the entire nation supported him across political lines. He claimed that the law will enable fair representation of women in the Lok Sabha and other national legislative assemblies, as well as more engagement from them in the decision-making process. Devender Rana expressed his congratulations to all women on this historic event, regardless of their political views, and claimed that their active participation in politics will promote harmony in public debate and inspire future generations to strive harder for the welfare of the country. This measure will strengthen the role and contribution of women in policy making, he noted, as the times are quickly changing for the nation under Modi. Rana claimed that the Act empowering women is yet another historic achievement recorded over the previous nine years under the Prime Minister’s strong, audacious, and ambitious leadership. He argued that the entire world was watching Bharat as it reached new heights in every field with pride and a sense of nationalism first. The deputations and the individuals brought up group and individual concerns regarding utility services, drinking water and power supply, road connectivity, civic amenities, etc., and they looked to Rana’s assistance to get these issues handled. The senior BJP leader gave his word that all of the issues identified would be addressed in earnest at the proper levels. In line with the Prime Minister’s treasured agenda of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas, he claimed that the BJP is committed to the welfare of all people, regardless of religion, geography, or caste.
