The Lt. Governor also discussed the possibilities for tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and provided information on the administration’s initiatives to advance the industry. “The tourism sector has undergone a complete transformation, and Jammu and Kashmir has been identified as the most promising location. The Union Territory’s economy would soon be driven by the tourism industry, according to Sinha.According to the Lt. Governor, the administration wants to bring in more tourists and give vacationers, explorers, and art enthusiasts an unforgettable experience. In order to provide both domestic and international tourists a range of getaway options, some 300 new locations, including heritage sites, offbeat, adventure, and spiritual places, are being established. He also discussed India’s G20 presidency, saying it had made all of its citizens proud. “We are seeing a multifold rise in foreign visitor arrivals as a result of the success of the G20 (meetings) in Jammu and Kashmir. A reflection of Jammu and Kashmir’s new aspiration is the unprecedented number of tourists visiting, Sinha continued.Former Union minister Sinha urged people to fulfil their obligation to preserve a peaceful environment in order to achieve long-term socioeconomic prosperity. Development and tourism cannot occur without peace. Peacekeeping is not just the responsibility of the police and security services; everyone, including locals and elected officials, must do their share. He claimed that while tourism is currently bringing everyone together, years of terrorism and its ecosystem had wrecked the peace and prosperity. The festival’s rallies and other events were also kicked off by the Lt Governor. Tourists can participate in a variety of activities during the Bangus Adventure Festival, including paragliding, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, cultural events, and games.
