Restrictions imposed near Sarore toll plaza in Samba

SAMBA:Following a demonstration by a group going by the name of “Yuva Rajput Sabha” calling for the demolition of the Sarore toll plaza, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district have placed restrictions on the movement of persons nearby. According to officials, Samba District Magistrate Abhishek Sharma implemented Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), which prohibits the assembling of four or more individuals in one location, at and around the toll plaza late Monday night. Numerous Yuva Rajput Sabha members demonstrated on Monday to call for the dismantling of the toll plaza. The cops had to use lathi-charge to scatter some of them since they even attempted to do damage to the building. The toll plaza, according to the protesters, has been constructed unlawfully. Many other groups, including trade associations, have called for the toll plaza to be taken down because they claim it forces individuals to pay an extra fee when leaving their homes for vital work. Additionally, after they staged a dharna at the toll booth, the police held a few outfit activists overnight.
