JAMMU: At a meeting held at the DC Office Complex today, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa, reviewed the operation of the Revenue department and talked about revenue-related issues and services, as well as the status and growth of the development projects and programmes being undertaken in the district.Senior Revenue department officers, ADC L&O Harvinder Singh, ACR Piyush Dhotra, SDMs, Tehsildars, and others attended the meeting. The implementation of SVAMITVA, the status of evicting unauthorised occupants from state property, the disposition of revenue court cases on the RCCMS portal, the issuance of online Fard Intlhab and other services, the attestation of pending Mutations, the acquisition of land and compensation, etc. were all thoroughly reviewed by the Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner underlined the importance of digitising Mussavis and constructing new ones in order to modernise land records.The chair also spoke about the importance of meticulousness in the correction of Jamabandies to guarantee accurate land records. The DC instructed the Tehsildars to complete the updating of Jamabandis and its digitization, as well as the attestation of mutations and drafting of Girdawaris, as quickly as possible. She gave the concerned officers deadlines for providing information about mutations and updating Jamabandis/Girdawari. Regarding the distribution of e-rent, the Deputy Commissioner gave the officers immediate instructions to distribute the rent to the beneficiaries.The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the Tehsildars to quickly resolve any court disputes involving income and upload the appropriate documents. The Deputy Commissioner requested that all open matters be compensated promptly and resolved without delay by the SDMs.
