6 Old Mortar Shells Recovered In Samba, Police Rule Out Sabotage Angle

SAMBA, Jul 7: officials said on Friday that Police recovered 6 old mortar shells in J&K’s Samba district.
They said the bomb disposal squad has been called to defuse the shells.The police also ruled out the possibility of sabotage. On one side of the Jammu-Pathankot Highway, the shells were discovered in some shrubs.
These shells are aged. It doesn’t have a sabotage angle. These might have been included in the scrap that scrap dealers were transporting. These rusted old shells may have been tossed out here to avoid a police post, a police officer stated.
He stated that an investigation is being conducted to discover the specifics.
