2-kg IED found planted by terrorists in Kishtwar; defused

KISHTWAR: On road in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, two-kg improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered planted by suspected terrorists on Monday night, according to officials. The experts then defused the IED, preventing potential terror attack in the hill district, according to the officials. They claimed that an IED that had been planted on the side of the Kishtwar-Batote national highway was discovered by an Army and Police patrol party working together. According to the officials, bomb disposal squad was called in and the highway’s traffic was immediately stopped. The explosive material was later safely defused. They said that after filing case, search was initiated to find the terrorists who planted the IED.
