BHOPAL: Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, declared on Saturday that if his party wins the federal election, it will conduct a caste-based census to determine the precise population of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the nation. He was speaking to a crowd of residents in the Madhya Pradesh district of Shajapur’s Kalapipal assembly constituency. Gandhi stated, “Soon after taking office, the first thing we will do is conduct a caste-based census to determine the precise number of OBCs in the nation as no one knows their exact number.” He asserted that only 90 people, including the cabinet secretary and secretaries, ran the country and that BJP MPs and MLAs had no influence over the formulation of laws or policies.In place of elected BJP members, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and bureaucrats, according to Gandhi, are drafting laws. Gandhi referred to Madhya Pradesh as the “epicentre” of corruption in the nation, saying that the state has been “rocked” by scams like Vyapam. Among other things, there is corruption in the construction of the Mahakal Lok corridor, the sale of MBBS degrees, and the sale of exam papers. He asserted that in the previous 18 years, 18,000 farmers had killed themselves. He claimed that this meant three farmers in the state committed suicide every day.
