SRINAGAR: On Friday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared that terrorism was dying in the valley and that the union territory’s security situation had improved since Article 370 was repealed. The terror attack that occurred on Thursday in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of five soldiers and the injuries of two more, was also referred to by Sinha as “unfortunate”. He accused “our neighbour” of trying to upset the tranquilly in the valley, seemingly referring to Pakistan. “This is a really regrettable occurrence. Such violence is condemned by us. Such actions by our neighbour have been disrupting the tranquilly in the valley. However, Sinha stated that it is all in vain because terrorism is dying in Kashmir.“Since the abrogation of Article 370, the security situation has significantly improved,” he said to reporters outside of an event hosted by the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce earlier today.
