SAMBA: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh has dismissed one under suspension Selection Grade Constable (who was also involved in a firing and assault case at Hatli Kathua) for prolonged absences from work and, on the advice of the Enquiry Officer, disengaged one habitual absentee SPO. The delinquent officers ignored numerous signals to return to work, attendance notices, and show cause notices served upon them as well as notices published in newspapers, according to the police, and they showed no interest in continuing to serve in the department. As a result, the department took drastic measures, including removal and disengagement. Furthermore, after conducting investigations in accordance with the rules, inquiry officers recommended their removal and termination, according to the police.According to police, Constable Joginder Singh, who was selected for under suspension, was dismissed from his position in accordance with Article 128 of the J&K CSR because he had been evading his duties for the previous ten months in a row. He also worked on case FIR No. 340 /2023 U/S 307, 323, 452, 504, 506 IPC 3/35/27 Arms Act PS Kathua during his leave of absence. According to police, SPO Bachan Lal was dismissed on the suggestion of the Enquiry Officer because he was a frequent absentee, missed six months of work in 2023, and hasn’t returned to work to this day.
