JAMMU, Sept 3: In a camp in the Jammu and Kashmir district of Samba, an Army soldier was electrocuted to death after coming into contact with a live wire, according to officials on Sunday. According to the officials, engineering squadron member Deepak Pandey (25), who was working on a project late Sunday night, was electrocuted. They claimed that the Uttrakhand-born soldier passed away at the military hospital after being transported there. According to the officials, police have begun their investigation into the soldier’s death. They also stated that once the necessary legal procedures had been completed, the deceased soldier’s remains will be transported to his hometown for final rites. (Agencies)
