SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecasted light rain or snowfall over certain higher regions of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday for the upcoming day. According to the MeT office, Thursday’s weather will mostly be clear to partly cloudy, with the chance of light rain or snowfall tonight over a few isolated higher peaks. “November 3-6 will see mostly dry weather, while November 7-8 will see fair to generally cloudy skies with a chance of light snowfall over isolated higher reaches,” the report stated. The MeT office stated that November 9–10 will be mostly cloudy with light rain or snowfall over a few higher levels, but elsewhere there won’t be any noteworthy weather until November 10.Late last night, Razdan Top in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district saw new, light snowfall, while the lower parts had light showers of rain, according to sources. According to Faizan Arif, a weather specialist from Kashmir, light rain or snow is possible in certain areas today due to a minor Western disturbance, particularly in certain regions of north Kashmir. “In general, there won’t be any noteworthy weather events over the next ten days,” he stated. According to him, the Kashmir plains should see minimum temperatures of 2 to 5°C and maximum temperatures of 20 to 22°C. The MeT office reported that the minimum temperature on Thursday was 6.7°C in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir; other locations with lower temperatures included Qazigund (4.0°C), Pahalgam (2.8°C), Kupwara (8.5°C), Kokernag (6.5°C), and Gulmarg (3.9°C).
