RAJOURI: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Topa and Hill Tak areas conducted a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) during which they found and successfully demolished an improvised explosive device (IED). The Rajouri police and soldiers carried out the operation based on particular intelligence about suspicious movement. “On specific input about some suspicious movement, a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by Rajouri Police & Army in Topa, Hill Tak areas under the jurisdiction of Police Station Darhal,” said the police of Jammu and Kashmir. The Bomb Disposal Squad assisted the security personnel in destroying the IED on the spot in a controlled way after they discovered it during the search operation. The quick action prevented possible dangers and guaranteed the area’s safety.
