All Officers, Staff Of Hazratbal Shrine Suspended For Negligence Of Duties

SRINAGAR, Oct 1: The chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has ordered the suspension of all Hazratbal shrine authorities and workers for failing to perform their obligations on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). The order states that the measure was taken in response to complaints made by the public during the chairperson's unexpected visit to the Hazratbal shrine on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). According to the order, it was discovered that the affected staff's serious negligence had caused a great deal of inconvenience for the followers."Despite many orders and directives from the officers, the affected ground crew has failed to offer the worshippers necessary facilities. This is why all of the officers and employees of the Hazratbal shrine have been suspended immediately for gravely failing to perform their duties, according to the decree. People across country respond to PM appeal, participate in hour-long cleanliness drive

NEW DELHI: In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for a nationwide cleanliness drive, people from all walks of life—from politicians to students—participated in an hour-long "shramdaan" on Sunday. More than 9.20 lakh sites nationwide have been adopted for the massive effort, claims the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. In a recent episode of "Mann Ki Baat," Modi urged all residents to participate in "one hour of shramdaan for swachhata" on October 1 in order to honour Mahatma Gandhi on the night of his birthday. 30 Kg Heroin Seized In Ramban, 2 Arrested

JAMMU, Oct 2: In the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, police seized 30 kilogrammes of heroin worth crores of rupees from a car headed for Punjab, according to officials. Following the recovery from the Banihal area along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, two suspected drug smugglers were detained, according to the officials. They claimed that the heroin was being transported from north Kashmir to Punjab by border smugglers. The private vehicle was stopped and recovered by a police team led by Banihal Station House Officer Mohammad Afzal Wani, according to the officials. NEW DELHI, Oct 1: On Sunday, the price of jet fuel, or ATF, was increased by 5%, marking the fourth consecutive monthly increase since July. In addition, the cost of commercial cooking gas, or LPG, was sharply increased by Rs 209 per 19-kg cylinder, in keeping with the firming up of international benchmarks. However, the cost of residential LPG, which is used to cook in domestic kitchens, remained constant at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder. According to a price statement from state-owned fuel dealers, the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) increased by Rs 5,779.84 per kilolitre, or 5.1%, in the national capital to Rs 118,199.17 per kl from Rs 112,419.33.The hike follows the largest increase ever of 14.1% (Rs 13,911.07 per kilo) on September 1 and an increase of 8.5% (Rs 7,728.07 per kilo) on August 1. The burden on already struggling airlines will grow as a result of the fourth consecutive increase in jet fuel prices, which account for 40% of an airline's operating expenses. ATF price increased by 1.65% or Rs 1,476.79 per litre on July 1. ATF prices have increased by a record Rs 29,391.08 per kiloliter in just four rises.In addition, oil companies increased the cost of commercial LPG, which is used in places like hotels and restaurants, by Rs 209. The stakes rose gradually as more people invested and confidence was established, and victims contributed thousands and even crores of rupees. These monies were subsequently put into various Bengaluru bank accounts. The money was then transferred into international bank accounts, where it was used to buy bitcoin for the cybercriminal gang controlling the bank accounts.The foreign group would then make various investments in foreign businesses with these cash. Law enforcement organisations seized computers, mobile phones, laptops, bank account information, credit cards, debit cards, swipe machines, SIM cards, printers, and chequebooks as part of the operation. Joint security team foils infiltration bid along LoC, kills 2 terrorists

KUPWARA: In a combined operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian forces killed two terrorists while thwarting an infiltration attempt in the Machil sector of the Kupwara district, the Army announced in a statement on Saturday night. After the intelligence-based operation, the forces conducted a sweep of the area and found the bodies of the two terrorists. In addition, two AK series rifles and ammo were also found at the scene, according to the Army. JAMMU: Ramesh Kumar, the Divisional Commissioner for Jammu, presided over a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and pertinent Officers on Saturday to assess the progress made in resolving pending pension cases, the PMAY Urban/Rural programme, Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, and other related matters. The Director General of Social Welfare Department informed the Div Com of the district-by-district situation after reviewing pension case clearances. The Division Committee took serious note of the backlog and ordered the Deputy Commissioners to finish all open cases in two days. The Div Com also examined the land distribution to the landless under PMAY-G/Urban. The number of claims that were received and those that were denied following verification was disclosed by the Deputy Commissioners. The DCs were given deadlines by the Div Com to finish their allotments.The Div Com also went over the districts' plans for organising Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. The Div Com was informed by the Director of School Education in Jammu that competitions for quizzes, paintings, debates, and essays had been planned across all districts. He further mentioned that a Shanti Rally had been organised, which started in Poonch and ended today in Jammu after travelling across all of the districts in the Jammu division. It was disclosed that both professors and kids took part in the Rally. The Div Com advised setting up control centres in each district and instructed DCs to send pictures of activity to the site.Ashok Sharma, the director of school education, Vivek Sharma, the director general of the social welfare department, Pankaj Katoch, the additional commissioner for Jammu, Avleen Kour, Munish Dutta, Angrej Singh, and other relevant officers were present for the meeting. Rail traffic resumes in Jammu after farmers end protest

JAMMU: After protesting Punjab farmers ended their three-day strike on Saturday evening, train service was resumed at the Jammu Railway Station, a senior railway official reported. Hundreds of passengers, including Vaishno Devi pilgrims who were stuck at Jammu and Katra railway stations due to the farmers' strike, were greatly relieved when rail operations resumed. "Five trains were cancelled earlier in the day, but service resumed after Punjabi farmers moved away from the tracks at 4 pm," said senior railway official Prateek Shrivastav. In response to the farmers' protest, he said that a total of 50 trains were cancelled and 85 others were diverted over the course of the last three days.We will resume regular business hours starting on Sunday. Additional trains would be made available if necessary to transport the stranded passengers, according to Shrivastav.
