Srinagar, Oct 23: On Monday, J&K Police announced that they had apprehended four suspects in Srinagar, allegedly solving a case of blind murder involving a woman just five days after the occurrence. According to police, on October 17, 2023, information about the murder of an unidentified woman and the discovery of her body by the roadside at Durbal, Bemina, was reported to Police Station Bemina. According to them, a police crew raced to the area to collect the body and protect the crime scene.After a case was filed at Police Station Bemina in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, an inquiry was conducted, and it was discovered that the deceased was Tanveera, the wife of Showkat Ahmad Kaloo, a resident of Nundresh Colony B, Batamaloo, Srinagar. The woman was found to have been murdered on October 16, 2023, in West End Colony, Hyderpora. Her body was then moved from Hyderpora to Durbal Bemina in order to distract the investigating agency, according to authorities.Four accused people—Abina Parveez, the deceased’s sister-in-law, a resident of West End Colony in Hyderpora, a minor female child (name withheld), Ghulam Mohammad Ahanger of Khushipora HMT at present Gulposh Apartment Bemina, and Jala Wadoo of Khushipora HMT at present Gulposh Apartment Bemina, the accused’s father and mother—have so far been taken into custody by Police Station Bemina, according to police.
