JAMMU, Jan 19: In advance of the Republic Day celebration and the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Jammu-Kathua range Shakti Pathak examined the security preparations here on Friday. The DIG emphasised cooperative planning and proactive measures to guarantee people’s safety and well-being during these momentous occasions at the high-level security meeting. According to a police official, “a strategic meeting was held here today to address the comprehensive security measures in place for the upcoming major events in our city.”The spokesperson stated that in order to present a united front against potential problems, senior officers at the meeting placed a strong emphasis on creating a multi-agency strategy and encouraging coordination across various departments. DIG “Our commitment to public safety is unwavering,” stated Shakti Pathak. The purpose of this meeting was to polish our arrangements and ensure that everyone attending would be in a safe atmosphere by utilising the knowledge of our committed officers and cutting-edge technology. According to a spokesperson, the DIG emphasised to police officers—including superintendents of police (SP), sub-divisional police officers (SDPO), station house officers (SHO), and police post incharges—the importance of proactive planning and teamwork in order to safeguard the community’s safety and well-being during important events that may draw sizable crowds.The police were instructed to maintain a strong level of security in the area, to examine hotels, to be very watchful of visitors, and to maintain naka (checkpost) alerts. According to him, they were also requested to design a traffic management plan and crowd control techniques. He continued, “The police force is alert and prepared to adjust to changing circumstances as the city gets ready for the major events next week, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for residents and visitors alike.”
