JAMMU: According to a leader, BJP president J P Nadda is coming to this area on Sunday for a daylong visit to discuss and finalise the party’s plan for the Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha election. Nadda will start his tour by paying respects at the revered Raghunath temple in the centre of the city. Later, at the party headquarters here, he will preside over a meeting of senior members led by J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina. Along with the two Member Parliaments from J&K Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma, who have each won the party’s seats in Udhampur and Jammu twice, National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, in charge of J&K, will also be present at the meeting.According to the leader mentioned earlier, the meeting’s outcome will probably determine the party’s Lok Sabha candidates. This decision will be made on the basis of an internal survey report that Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah received recently. He stated that the meeting’s main goal would be to finalise the party’s plan to oppose the INDIA bloc, which has indicated that it will field unified candidates to take on the BJP. According to the leader, the meeting will also cover Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s planned visit to Jammu and Kashmir later this month or in early February. Before leaving for Delhi, he said, Nadda is expected to meet separately with Ashok Koul, the General Secretary (Organisation) and President of the J&K BJP.
