NEW DELHI, Jan 7: The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a night landing at the high-altitude Kargil advanced landing field close to the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan using a C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft for the first time. According to those familiar with the situation, the IAF’s operational capabilities in the strategically important area were shown by the tactical lift aircraft’s night arrival at the Kargil airfield, carrying the elite Garud commandos. Recently, there was a night landing.It was the first time a cargo plane made a night landing, even though IAF aircraft had previously operated from the advanced landing site. “Recently, at the Kargil airstrip, an IAF C-130 J aircraft made a historic night landing.
