JAMMU: According to a Personnel Ministry order, the government returned senior IAS officer Atal Dulloo to his cadre in the Union Territories on Monday. As secretary of the Department of Border Management under the home ministry, Dulloo is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Union Territories, or Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre, having joined in 1989. On the Ministry of Home Affairs’ request, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his return to his parent cadre, the statement stated. According to officials, he is expected to be named Jammu and Kashmir’s chief secretary. Arun Kumar Mehta, the chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, is scheduled to reach the age of sixty this month and retire.
