JAMMU: Dr Sunil Gupta, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range on Friday conducted a surprise inspection of the Police Station (PS) Domana. His thorough examination at the Police Station encompassed the MHC Room, Malkhana, and Hawalat, ensuring all records, including the Mahila Desk Register and Cyber Register, were diligently maintained. Impressed by the station’s cleanliness and organization, Dr Gupta urged the SP Rural and SHO Police Station to heighten vigilance ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. He emphasized prompt resolution of public grievances, with a particular focus on addressing female complainants promptly and assigning their cases to female staff members. Special emphasis was placed on tackling NDPS, road accident, and land dispute cases. Dr Gupta engaged with randomly selected complainants, receiving positive feedback regarding their interactions with the station’s staff. Commending the station’s active participation in the anti-drug campaign, Dr Gupta directed officers to investigate all aspects of NDPS cases thoroughly, identifying and seizing assets of drug offenders. He also praised the systematic storage of vehicles seized under Operation Avtar. Furthermore, Dr Gupta underscored the importance of reinforcing the Beat system and rewarded ASI Ramesh Chander, MASI Domana, and IC Women Help Desk L/HC Parmeet Kour for their exemplary record-keeping with a cash reward of Rs 500 each.
