SRINAGAR: DGP J&K Dilbag Singh on Sunday visited 92 Base Hospital BB Cantt and Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Srinagar and enquired about the health of 2 JKP Mountain Rescue Team members who got seriously injured in a shooting stone incident between Sangam Top and lower Holy Cave while rescuing a lady pilgrim. He also enquired about the health of 4 CRPF personnel at SKIMS, who were injured in a road accident at Baltal.To the hospitals, the DGP was escorted by ADGP Armed, J&K SJM Gillani. The DGP met the medical staff caring for the police and CRPF jawans. He also interacted with the families of injured police officers. He gave the injured police officers and CRPF members assurances that they would get all available support and assistance. He wished them everyone a quick recovery. DIG Other jurisdictional officers were CKR Sujit Kumar, DIG IRP Kashmir Abdul Qayoom, DIG CRPF Jaidev Kesri, SSP Shafkat Hussain, SSP Hakim Munshi, and others.It is important to note that two J&K Police mountain rescue team members, SgCt. Mohammed Salem and SgCt. Mohammed Yaseen, were seriously hurt while saving a woman, Urmilaben D/o Laxmi Naryan, who was about 53 years old, from a shooting stone incident between Sangam Top and lower Holy Cave. Sadly, the lady yatri passed away from her wounds.Army and commercial helicopters on Yatra duty removed the hurt police officers. In the Baltal Sonmarg neighbourhood of Ganderbal district, a vehicle carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel rolled into the Sindh River near the Nilgrath helipad.
