Cooch Behar (West Bengal): While the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra made its way into Bengal, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi struck a conciliatory pose, declaring that the INDIA bloc would fight ‘Anyay’ together. The remarks were made the day after Mamata Banerjee, a prominent member of the opposition, declared that she would run her state’s Lok Sabha elections alone. The Wayanad Member of Parliament expressed his happiness at visiting West Bengal. “I’m glad I travelled to West Bengal. We’ve come here to hear you out and support you.Injustice, violence, and hatred are being promoted by the BJP-RSS. Thus, INDIA formation will battle ‘Anyay’ collectively,” he declared. Jairam Ramesh also struck a conciliatory note, restating Mamata’s significance as a constituent of the INDIA bloc.“As I mentioned earlier, TMC is a crucial pillar of the 28-party INDIA bloc. Mamata Banerjee is a tall leader of the nation, full of energy and expertise. We honour her.It is common knowledge that she occupies a unique position and identity within our nation’s politics. We both want to beat the BJP, and I have every confidence that she does too. Together, we shall fight. We shall ensure the success of INDIA Alliance. That is our responsibility. Jairam Ramesh expressed This morning, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra made its way from Assam into West Bengal. President of the Assam Congress Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury received the “tricolour” from Assam Congress head Angika Dutta.“We completed the 4000 km Bharat Jodo Yatra a year ago, which stretched from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari. In Nafrat Ka Bazaar, we established Mohabbat Ki Dukkan, which is a store dedicated to love in a hostile environment. We are currently travelling to Mumbai from Imphal. We are leaving Assam and entering West Bengal today. I express my sincere gratitude to the Assamese Congress workers. You did a fantastic job with the Yatra’s arrangements. You have brought about a significant change in Assamese politics, for which I am incredibly grateful. I’m glad I travelled to West Bengal. Rahul remarked, “We’ve come here to listen to you and support you. “We have added the word Nyay in our Yatra, because BJP-RSS are spreading hatred, violence and injustice in the country” said the Congress legislator. In a major blow to the India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, which was created to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Mamata Banerjee, the supremo of the Trinamool Congress, announced on Wednesday that her party will be fighting on its own in Bengal. “I didn’t talk to the Congress party. We shall fight alone in Bengal, as I have always declared. The TMC supremo had stated, “I am not worried about what will be done in the country, but we are a secular party and we will alone defeat BJP in Bengal.” Meanwhile, a number of TMC backers carrying placards with the slogan “Didi is enough for Bengal” were positioned along Rahul’s route. Beginning on January 14 in Imphal, Manipur, the Yatra will end on March 20 in Mumbai.
