JAMMU: In order to join the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a deputation basis for a period of five years, Sandeep Choudhary, SP, of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Cyber Crime Investigation Centre for Excellence (CICE), was relieved of his duties on Monday, according to an official order. Anuj Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP), Special Crime Wing, Jammu, was assigned the additional responsibility of SP, CICE until further orders, according to an order from Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, J&K home department. According to the order, Choudhary, an IPS officer from the 2012 batch of the AGMUT cadre, was relieved of his duties in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir so that he could accept the new assignment with the federal organisation as a result of the competent authority’s approval of his entry as SP in the NIA on a deputation basis. According to the order, the officer’s deputation would last for five years from the day they took over their position or until further instructions, whichever came first.
