SRINAGAR, Jul 30: Officials said on Sunday the troops of the CRPF are playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and providing safe passage and assistance to the pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar.The CRPF stationed along the Amarnath Yatra route in Srinagar, according to the deputy inspector general (DIG) of the Srinagar North Range CRPF, was crucial in guaranteeing the safety and assistance of the pilgrims in Srinagar.
“In order to ensure the security and assistance of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in Srinagar, the CRPF is crucial. To ensure the safety and welfare of the pilgrims, CRPF men are stationed in Srinagar and along the Yatra route, the source said.According to the DIG, the CRPF keeps an eye out for threats, protects the peace, and ensures that pilgrims can travel safely during the yatra.
During the yatra, he claimed, “The CRPF conducts routine security checks, upholds law and order, and facilitates the smooth movement of pilgrims.”
The officer went on to say that in order to establish a secure atmosphere for the pilgrims and address any potential security risks, the CRPF forces work closely with the local authorities, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir Police.In partnership with other organisations, the CRPF offers pilgrims a variety of aid services. He added that these services comprise medical camps, transportation hubs, communication systems, and emergency response teams.
He further added that the CRPF is equipped and trained to handle any situations and, if necessary, provide the pilgrims with swift help.
“If necessary, the pilgrims can receive urgent assistance right away because to the CRPF personnel’s training and equipment, the spokesman remarked.The CRPF’s presence and efforts assist the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar to be conducted securely and successfully, ensuring a magnificent and secure pilgrimage experience for the faithful, he added.
The CRPF’s commitment and presence, according to the DIG, “help create confidence among the pilgrims and ensure that they can undertake the yatra in a peaceful way.”
The source said that thanks to the CRPF’s efforts, thousands of pilgrims are able to visit the revered Amarnath shrine every year in safety and general success.The overall number of pilgrims who participated in the Amarnath Yatra this year outnumbered those who went the year before.
On Thursday, 9,150 worshippers visited the Amarnath Cave temple, bringing the total number of visitors to 369,288.
This is more than the 365,721 devotees who participated in the Yatra last year.Beyond its spiritual significance, the Yatra has also seen the arrival of notable people from all walks of life, including Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and renowned badminton star Saina Nehwal.
The number of foreign visitors to the holy shrine has significantly increased during the Amarnath Yatra-2023. Beyond national borders, the pilgrimage’s attraction entices individuals from all over the world to participate in this spiritually enlivening experience.
