JAMMU, Jan 11: A police team that was going to capture notorious criminal Lau Gujjar was attacked today in the Waziru Chak neighbourhood of Bishnah, resulting in injury to one of the officers. According to sources, at around 5:30 in the morning, a team of police officers led by SP Headquarters and supported by SDPO RS Pura and SHO Bishnah arrived in the Waziru Chak area in response to specific inputs. Gulzar Ali, also known as Lau Gujjar, is wanted in multiple cases, including rape, attempted murder, criminal intimidation, NDPS, and attacks on law enforcement officers.Sadly, though, the police team came upon a hail of stones coming from the home where Lau was thought to be sheltering. One of the police officers, Bansi Lal, was hurt during the assault, according to sources, who also stated that the police had to use airguns to scatter the throng. Unfortunately, Lau was able to avoid the police’s grasp once more. Bansi Lal, the wounded police officer, is now in the hospital, and a thorough manhunt has been launched to apprehend the fugitive offender.
