Winter Strategy In Place As Special Check Posts To Keep Surveillance Along J&K Borders

JAMMU, Jan 4: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have reinforced border surveillance by installing special checkposts along the borders in order to thwart all evil schemes of the enemy, including attempts at infiltration that take advantage of fog. According to official sources, security forces have organised a winter strategy that will bolster surveillance along the International Border and the Line of Control in anticipation of cloudy days. This is intended to thwart attempts by intruders to infiltrate from across the fence. They went on, "We are setting up additional surveillance posts along the International Border and the Line of Control with enhanced patrolling." They said that in order to stop terrorists and anti-national elements from hiding out, surprise search operations are also stepped up in the vicinity of the forests."In addition to installing extra check posts and maintaining special surveillance in areas deemed sensitive from an infiltration point of view, residential settlements adjacent to forested and hilly areas will also undergo surprise cordon and search operations," the sources stated. According to them, the J&K Police, in collaboration with the Army and paramilitary groups, have developed a strategy to destroy the terrorism ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
