JAMMU, Dec 19: Police said on Tuesday that as part of a special effort to monitor the activities of foreign nationals, they have filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) against nine Rohingyas and one Bangladeshi national for obtaining Indian identity documents—such as domicile certificates, Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, PAN cards, and so on—illegally and for residing in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police provided details, saying that following a thorough and discrete investigation into the illegal stays of foreigners (Bangladesh and Rohingyas) at different points in this district, a case has been filed under applicable legal provisions against the accused individuals, who are all residents of Myanmar and include Raheela Begum, Shakeela Begum, Jahan Ara, Meem Bano, and Muskan Banoo.Similar to this, a case against Rohingyas and their facilitators—Zavaira Begum, Shabnam Begum, Noor Bhar, and Zeenat Begum—all Myanmar residents, has been filed at the Gandoh police station in accordance with pertinent legal provisions.
