Speaking at the 44th PSPB Inter-Unit Golf Tournament's opening ceremony, which was hosted by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) in Srinagar, LG Sinha noted that this year, 1 crore 52 lakh more tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir through the end of August than the previous year (1 crore 28 lakh). "I'm hoping 2.25 crores will be reached by the end of 2023. Additionally, there has been a 59% rise in international visitor arrivals since the G20 working group conference.These figures demonstrate the changes that have taken place in J&K, he informed the audience. The G20 Summit's success, the record number of visitors, and the exceptional rise in international visitors to the UT themselves speak to the current state of peace and the altered situation in Jammu and Kashmir," he continued. We are performing better than many states and UTs in various industries, he claimed. This incident is condemned by every citizen of the nation, as am I. The terrorists would receive a suitable response, and PM Narendra Modi will be held accountable for every drop of blood, Shinde told reporters after attending an event here. The terrorists murdered a soldier on Wednesday along with Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer, 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Ashish Dhonchak, Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat, and Major Ashish Dhonchak. The entire nation is united in support of the soldiers, according to Sinha.According to him, resentment among terrorists over the smooth operation of the G20 Summit and the crackdown on conflict profiteers in Jammu and Kashmir led to the attack on security forces in Anantnag. The terrorists who recently attacked the Army and police personnel at Pakistan's behest were irritated with the G20 Summit's successful administration and the clampdown on conflict profiteers. Sri Lanka lose by 10 wickets, Siraj’s fireworks help India lift Asia Cup for 8th time

SEP 17, 2023 : The opening pair of Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan scored a faultless fifty-run partnership as India won the Asia Cup for the eighth time after speedster Mohammed Siraj's ferocious session destroyed Sri Lanka. Siraj, who is the leader of India's fast bowling unit, led his team to victory in the summit match on Sunday at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo by destroying the top of the Sri Lankan order. India finally raised the trophy in style after a little more than two hours. The performance of their team silenced the Sri Lankan crowd. After five years, the Men in Blue finally hoisted the Asia Cup trophy.Siraj bowled a fantastic performance, allowing the entire Sri Lankan team to return to the pavilion for 50 runs after 15.2 overs. Siraj had his finest ODI performance to date, taking six wickets in seven overs. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan started their innings off Matheesha Pathirana's over with back-to-back boundaries, scoring the first 51 runs required with ease. Gill hit three consecutive boundaries off Pramod Madushan in the third over of the match, raising India's tally to 32/0. On the opening ball of the seventh over, Kishan took a single and confidently led India to a 10-wicket victory. On the third ball of his first over, Jasprit Bumrah made his mark, which established the tone for the game. Siraj followed it up by sending a maiden over to create the ideal backdrop for a spell that stunned everyone in the stadium. Pathum Nissanka was returned for two points by Siraj on the first ball of his second over. When the second ball clocked 143 kph, Samarawickrama made the decision to take it easy. However, the third pitch struck the right-handed batsman hard in the back, pinning his legs directly in front of the stumps, and sending him back for a two-ball duck. Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka's match-winning player against Pakistan, intervened to save Sri Lanka's innings from collapsing. Siraj enticed him to play the drive shot by baiting and luring him. When Asalanka took the bait, Ishan Kishan at covers received the ball immediately. With a hat-trick in mind, Siraj attempted the inswinging delivery to newcomer Dhananjaya de Silva once more. The ball was despatched for a four with a light push on the empty side of the field. On the subsequent delivery, the pacer returned, discovered a thin edge, and glided easily between Rahul's gloves. A unusual occurrence in ODI cricket, and even more so in a championship game, Siraj finished an over by taking four wickets. He had not yet finished celebrating his 'Sui', either. He utterly destroyed the stumps, beating captain Dausn Shanaka and dismissing him for a duck. For the first time in an ODI, India got six wickets in the opening 10 overs. Hardik Pandya entered the attack to replace Bumrah, who left the attack to join the fire-breathing Siraj. Siraj's next victim was Kusal Mendis, who appeared to be a little at ease on the pitch. Mendis attempted to drive off a quick inswinging delivery but failed due to an inside edge, and the ball destroyed the stumps. Mendis, who made 17 out of 34 balls, turned around and headed back towards the dugout. With both bat and ball, Dunith Wellalage led Sri Lanka against India in their Super Four match, but he failed this time. Hardik joined the gathering to remove Wellalage from it by aiming a bouncer at his body. The batter attempted to move out of the way, but it was too late; the ball lobbed towards the keeper Rahul after touching his gloves.…

Ladakh Saw Unbelievable Changes For The Better After Article 370 Abrogation: LG

Jammu, Sep 17 : According to Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Retd) B D Mishra, Ladakh has seen "unbelievable" changes "for the better" since the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution, and he is confident that within a few years it would be the most developed Union Territory in the entire nation. In addition to making Ladakh "corruption-free and delay-free," Mishra, who assumed leadership of Ladakh in February, said generating appropriate jobs for people and ensuring that future generations do not experience water scarcity are among his top goals. According to him, more than 5.31 lakh tourists travelled to the Union Territory last year, which has a population of about 2.75 lakh.In an exclusive interview the Lt Governor said, "I have been there (in Ladakh) for seven months and there is a sea change in terms of development, in people's outlook, in the benefit (being extended to the people), and also in the comfort of living." According to him, the local people has objectives in the domains of agriculture, horticulture, pisciculture, sericulture, and animal husbandry, all of which are developing. Mishra claimed that although infrastructure like roads, bridges, tunnels, helipads, and airports is being created quickly, the people of Ladakh are stepping up to launch enterprises.Only when the Constitution's Article 370 was repealed in August 2019 and Ladakh was separated from Jammu and Kashmir to become a Union Territory on October 31 of that same year was this made possible, according to him. Before that, there were protests during which people called for the declaration of Ladakh as a Union Territory. The L-G asserted that it was because "people were neglected and out on a limb" and that development was given the least amount of priority. The former soldier claimed to have his priorities in order.According to Mishra, the top aim is to prevent water shortages for future generations. We live on hills, therefore water is plentiful below... Ladakh should never have a water shortage, I want to make sure of that. The creation of jobs for the people of Ladakh, particularly startups, is the next priority, he stated. "I have had over 600 vacancies in the police and civil service announced, and the process is ongoing, but there is a Supreme Court case pending regarding 800 positions. The L-G declared, "The changes are astonishing and for the better with the way Ladakh is developing and the way the people are being cared for.Mishra stated that prior to the repeal of Article 370, Ladakh was a part of the former state…
