J&K Has Witnessed Zero Collateral Damage In Last 5 Years: DGP Dilbag

LETHPORA, Oct 28: Police head Dilbag Singh stated here on Saturday that throughout the previous five years, there has been a decrease in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as no events involving law enforcement or collateral damage. Four terror events happened at just four police stations: one in Pulwama and three in Srinagar. "Since these four occurrences only happened in January and February, the previous eight months have likewise been completely terror-free. Thus, for the past eight months, none of the 21 have experienced panic," he stated. According to Singh, there have only been three incidences in the 22 police stations chosen for the second phase, all of which have occurred in Anantnag areas."As of right now, there is no dread in any of the 12 areas where OCAPs have been implemented. 19 of these stations have not had any terror attacks in the past 12 months. Only seven police stations had seven instances, and 36 stations remained terror-free overall, he continued. According to Singh, OCAP is a police mission. NEW DELHI: Dilip Mahadu Gavit won a gold medal on Saturday, marking the 100th medal won by Indian para-athletes at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou. In the Men's 400m T47 event, Gavit took home the gold medal. With a great run time of 49.48 seconds, he won the coveted gold. This is the Indian para contingent's most successful Para Asian Games campaign to date, having won 100 medals for the first time. IT department sensitises officers about taxation, financial matters

JAMMU: An outreach and sensitization programme was held on Friday by the Income Tax Department and the Deputy Commissioner's office to increase public knowledge and comprehension of financial and tax issues. During the programme, Assistant Accounts Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers from various departments participated in an interactive session led by Income Tax Officer Jammu, Rajneesh Gupta, and Deputy Commissioner Income Tax Jammu, Dr. Mohnish Digra. SRINAGAR: A senior army commander stated on Friday that there is a persistent attempt from the other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to undermine the security situation and disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir since the hostile elements have not taken to normality well. Major General Girish Kalia, the General Officer Commanding (Vajr Division) of the security forces, stated at a press conference regarding Operation Shikanja, which was initiated along the Line of Control in the Machil sector of Kupwara, North Kashmir, that the security forces are dedicated to stopping any attempt by the enemy to disturb the security situation in the Union territory. Five militants were killed during their attempt to infiltrate. "In Kashmir, normalcy and prosperity have not fared well against the antagonistic forces.Maj Gen Kalia told reporters in Kupwara, "That is why there is a constant effort from across the LoC to disturb peace and vitiate the security environment in J-K."
