NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi responded to Home Minister Amit Shah's criticism of India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, on Tuesday by saying the BJP leader "keeps rewriting" history and does not understand it. Gandhi added that the goal of the whole thing was to divert attention away from the caste census issue and the question of who is receiving the nation's funds. During his Monday speech in the Rajya Sabha, Shah attributed the Kashmir issue to Nehru and highlighted her "mistakes" in requesting a "untimely" ceasefire and bringing the matter before the UN.
