SRINAGAR: officials said, the Amarnath Yatra was suspended on twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam due to bad weather conditions on Friday as rain lashed the Kashmir Valley.Authorities have reportedly delayed the Amarnath Yatra due to severe rains, according to officials. They said that no pilgrim was permitted to approach the sacred cave in the morning since the Yatra had been momentarily suspended. At Nunwan Pahalgam base camp, they said that around 3,200 pilgrims had been stopped, while 4,000 had been stopped at Baltal base camp. The Yatra, however, will resume if the weather is better, according to the organisers. More than 80,000 devotees have performed Yatra, according to the officials. In the meantime, the 8th batch, which numbered 7,010 pilgrims, departed for the valley on Friday in a cavalcade of 247 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu.
