SRINAGAR: All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee delegation called on LG Sinha, at the Raj Bhavan.
The delegation, led by S Ajit Singh, Chairman JKSCC, and including elected members of the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committees from across the UT, expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor for a number of groundbreaking development initiatives and new governance milestones in the UT.
The delegation of notable Sikh community members raised a number of community-related problems, including the need for reservation for the insignificant minority and the inclusion of Punjabi language instruction in JKUT schools.
They also talked about the issue of land allocation for the historical Gurudwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Nanak Sahib Ji’s rebuilding in Ser Manjla (Ram Nagar), Udhampur.
The Lt. Governor gave the delegation’s members assurances that the legitimate concerns and demands would be addressed as soon as possible.
