NEW DELHI: Following his return from Ayodhya, where he conducted Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Monday the ‘Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana,’ which aims to provide rooftop solar power to one crore homes. The Prime Minister continued, “Today, on the auspicious occasion of the Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya, my resolve has been further strengthened that the people of India should have their solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses.” The Prime Minister’s Office released a statement saying, “My first decision since returning from Ayodhya is that our government will start the ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana,’ with the goal of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses.”According to the statement, which quoted PM Modi, this will not only lower the electricity bills of the lower and middle classes in India but also lead to India becoming self-sufficient in the energy sector. The Prime Minister added, “All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram,” on the social networking platform X.
