JAMMU: Today, district magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya surprised everyone by touring government buildings in all of the western district’s tehsils and evaluating how well they run and provide public services. The DM went to Sub Division Hospital Akhnoor to inspect the infrastructure, medical amenities, and staff attendance. When he discovered certain employees were not on duty, he asked them why. In addition, he gave the concerned officer instructions to discipline any unprofessional behaviour or tardiness.In order to examine the state of cleanliness in Akhnoor, the District Magistrate also presided over a meeting with the local government, which was led by Sub Divisional Magistrate Akhil Sadhotra. The action plan to enhance the town’s general orderliness and cleanliness was discussed during the meeting. He next went to the Tehsil Office Khour to go over the documentation, the provision of revenue services, and the handling of public complaints. He spoke with the guests and paid attention to their problems. The DM also evaluated the effectiveness and performance of the Tehsil Office Kharah Balli during an inspection. He gave the Tehsildars and other authorities instructions to make sure that the public receive services in a timely and transparent manner. He conveyed his strong opinions on being on time and providing honest public services.If their work ethics and timeliness did not improve, he threatened them with harsh consequences. The district magistrate made it clear that the district government will not put up with any carelessness or laxity in carrying out its obligations. He clarified that the aim of these unexpected visits was to raise the standard of administration and governance by holding public servants accountable and responsive. In addition, he made a general evaluation of the area’s needs and the development scenario by visiting the villages of Kaleeth and Kharah.
