JAMMU, Dec 22: On Friday, a 35-year-old man in police custody in the Jourian neighbourhood of Akhnoor, on the outskirts of the city, passed away under suspicious circumstances. Authorities reported that while being held at Police Post Jourian, a man known as Sushil Kumar, a resident of Garhi, Jourion, passed away under suspicious circumstances. While the investigation is ongoing, the body has been sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu for a post-mortem, according to the police. However, the deceased’s family and relatives protested and called for an investigation into the situation. (Agencies)
