Chugh : Abdullahs and Muftis danced to the tune of Pakistan

JAMMU: Launching a scathing attack on former CMs Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, BJP Tarun Chugh on Sunday said that Pak-sponsored terrorism flourished in J&K under their rule following which the J&K economy was derailed and there was no progress and development.According to Chugh, the three families—the Gandhis, the Muftis, and Abdullah—plunder Jammu and Kashmir, and terrorism peaked during their rule. Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office and stabilised the law and order situation, the situation in J&K has substantially improved. He said that J&K is currently in a new phase. Chugh’s remarks were made against the backdrop of remarks made by Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah during a press conference following a meeting of opposition parties on June 23 in Patna. Chugh criticised the three families, claiming that while on one side they discussed democracy, on the other they discussed China and Pakistan. “While in office, they impeded advancement and persecuted the Jammu and Kashmiri people. There was neither progress nor peace. Bloodshed was all that occurred, however under PM Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as a hub for tourists.Jammu and Kashmir has only experienced peace, advancement, and growth during the BJP’s reign, he claimed. He added that lawmakers are now travelling Bihar to give news conferences due to the little space they have in Jammu and Kashmir. “This demonstrates the rejection of them by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. They don’t feel that there is any room for discussion here,” he remarked. According to Chugh, Jammu and Kashmir is seeing a new dawn of prosperity and progress, and tourism is thriving here, but under the control of the three families, only terrorism flourished. Chugh credited this to PM Modi’s pro-people policies.
