RAMBAN: Div Com Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today visited district Ramban to review the arrangements being put in place for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2023 and to inspect progress on national highway four laning works.The Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam, senior SASB, JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD, NHAI, SSP Traffic National Highway, ADC Harbans Sharma, PD NHAI Parshotam Kumar, and other pertinent officers were with the Divisional Commissioner.The Div Com visited Yatri Niwas Chanderkote while on the tour and checked all the preparations being made to ensure a successful Yatra. Along with inspecting national highway works, he also looked at Langer locations. He gave the NHAI and construction firms instructions to maintain NH-44 and stationed sufficient equipment in all areas that were vulnerable to flooding so that roads could be cleared quickly.He gave instructions to the executing agency and other stakeholders to carry out all plans and directives periodically made for the successful performance of the holy yatra in order to ensure that the task is completed. Additionally, he gave NHAI officers instructions to do the maintenance tasks so that commuters could travel safely. He emphasised the importance of quick highway repair, traffic regulation, follow lane enforcement, and surface maintenance.The Div Com also presided over a meeting and urged the involved departments to coordinate their efforts to make sufficient preparations far in advance for the orderly conduct of the holy Yatra. The Div Com gave the Traffic Department the task of creating a traffic strategy to ensure smooth traffic flow on key roads. He requested that the district administration in Ramban make sure that each lodging facility has access to water, electricity, and restrooms. The Div Com also conducted a thorough evaluation of the Yatri Niwas Chanderkote facilities and gave instructions for making all essential arrangements on time.The Div Com gave directions to all the departments involved to expedite the work so that it is finished well before the Yatra begins.
