JAMMU: In a money laundering investigation, the Enforcement Directorate has attached properties valued at Rs 1.21 crore belonging to Lal Singh, a former minister and leader of the Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP). The properties that were attached were 35 kanals of property valued at Rs 27.73 lakh, 48 kanals of land valued at Rs 33.01 lakh, and 84 kanals and nine marlas of land worth Rs 65.46 lakh. Parts of two colleges and a school in the Kathua district village of Karandi, valued at a total of Rs 1.21 crore, are attached assets. The Enforcement Directorate Jammu’s Deputy Director issued an attachment order today. It should be noted that Lal Singh spent about eighteen days in the ED’s custody and jail before the court granted him temporary release last week.
The chair of M/s RB Education Trust, which is embroiled in a money laundering issue, is her wife, former MLA Kanta Andotra.
