Washington, Jun 23: Terrorism is an enemy of humanity and there can be “no ifs or buts” in dealing with the scourge, PM Modi has said as he sought action against its state sponsors, in an oblique attack on Pakistan.In his remarks to the joint session of the US Congress on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi stated that radicalization and terrorism continue to pose a serious threat to the entire globe more than 20 years after 9/11 and more than ten years after the 26/11 assaults in Mumbai.
“Despite the fact that these ideas may alter their names and outward appearances, their objectives stay the same. There can be no ifs or buts about dealing with terrorism because it is an adversary of humanity. “The United States and India stand together to counter global terrorism and unequivocally condemn terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations,” the statement read.They reiterated the significance of cooperating to prevent this misuse as they took notice with alarm of the growing global use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, and information and communication technologies for terrorist purposes.
The global order is built on respect for the principles of the UN Charter, the peaceful resolution of disputes, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, Modi again hinted at China in his speech to the US Congress on Thursday.Modi said he has spoken explicitly and publicly that “This is not an era of war,” despite the fact that the situation in Ukraine is inflicting immense suffering in the region. nonetheless, one of negotiation and diplomacy.
