Hyderabad, Jun 17: President Droupadi Murmu said on Saturday, the Indian Air Force is taking steps to be ever ready and future ready keeping in view the overall security scenario including the challenges of fighting a high-technology war in a network-centric future battle space.She said in her speech at the nearby Air Force Academy’s combined graduation parade that quick technological adoption will be crucial for defence readiness on land, at sea, and in the air.
Together, the President remarked, the nation’s armed forces guard its land borders, expansive coastline, territorial waters, and expansive airspace.She said that “every officer in the armed forces must maintain an integrated perspective of defence preparedness.”
She believed that the addition of Rafale fighter jets and Chinook heavy load helicopters to the Indian Air Force will boost its operational capability.
