Ganderbal : Police on Sunday have arrested three female pickpockets in Kangan area of Ganderbal district.The defendants engaged in active pick-pocketing, especially in medical facilities. “In the past few days, Police Station Kangan has been receiving inputs from different sources that a gang of a few notorious persons is roaming in the jurisdiction of PS Kangan, picking pockets of innocent people, especially in the area of Sub District Hospital Kangan” according to a police source.Quick action led to the red-handed arrest of three women while stealing from one person, Hariganiwan’s Bashir Ahmed Mir. The three attempted to flee the scene with the Rs 25,000 in stolen money, but the Police Party apprehended them all with tact. The pilfered funds were found and confiscated, and a complaint in accordance with pertinent legal provisions has been filed at PS Kangan, with an ongoing investigation underway.
