JAMMU: Since Dilbag Singh will reach superannuation at the end of this month, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, designated current Special DG J&K RR Swain (IPS) as having additional responsibility for the position on Friday. As per the directive from MHA, Swain, who is presently holding the position of special DG, CID, has been requested to assume the extra responsibility of the position starting on November 1. “With the approval of competent authority, Shri R.R Swain, IPS presently posted as special DG, CID, Jammu and Kasjmir will also function as in-charge Director General of Police in addition to his existing charge with effect from 1-11-23 and until further orders,” stated the order.
